A Brief History!
iSolarScape is the latest incarnation of a program that I have updated for over 15 years on several computer platforms. Initially it was named 'EarthSun', and displayed the current sunlit side of the Earth during the day as a Windows 3.1 icon. Next, a similar icon program called 'MoonIcon' was made, displaying the current phase and other information about the Moon.
I made three other icon programs called MarsIcon, SolSys and GRedSpot in the following years, that displayed the current side of Mars, the relative position of the planets, and the current view of Jupiter's Great Red Spot and its four Galilean moons, respectively.
These were converted to Windows task bar icons for Windows 95/98/NT in the following years, and all five separate programs were combined into a single program called 'MoonIcon32' in mid-1999.
Users from around the world enjoyed these programs during the early years of the Internet, and they can still be found on various shareware program websites. Today, I hope that you enjoy the latest version of 'iSolarScape' not on a large desktop computer, but in the palm of your hand on your iPhone! Thank you for your business and kind words over the years.
